Wednesday night football in Brazil, in the Campeonato
Catarinense featured Chapecoense against Criciuma. The highlight and spectacle
of the match belonged to no other player than the visiting Criciuma defender Fábio
Ferreira with an amazing goal line clearance.
Ferreira produced an amazing
clearance that saved his team from conceding a goal but was not enough to stop
the home team running out 1 nil and the goalpost crashing down on him. Ensuing video below.
It's safe to say that goal line technology wouldn't have been able to prove if the ball cross the line, or the man crossed the line :)
